My passion resides in connecting with people and building relationships through traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). As a care-giver, I treat each client as a wealth of information in which I am eager to learn from. feel healing begins through this mutual connection to another person. While listening and observing, my goal is to establish a diagnosis and unique treatment platform to optimize effectiveness for each person’s needs.
With a focus in women’s health and pre and postnatal care, I enjoy working with individuals of all stages of life. I earned my degree in TCM from the prestigious Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, B.C., Canada. In addition, I practiced TCM in BeiJing, China for 4 months in 2005. My devotion to service led me to Nepal with Acupuncturists Without Borders on two occasions. Once in 2013 to provide care to trafficked women, orphaned children and men. Also in 2015 following the devastating earthquake to provide trauma relief.
During a typical treatment, I often combine acupuncture with tuning fork therapy (acutonics), tibetan singing bowls and mindful meditative practices. Herbal remedies are recommended as needed and play an important role in maintaining efficiency of the healing process. Traditional techniques including moxabustion, cupping and gua sha are incorporated as well. feel it is imperative to inform and inspire each person’s participation in their health.
Acupuncture successfully enhances mental clarity, improves the immune system and increases energy. It also treats pain, musculoskeletal problems, nausea, anxiety, depression, insomnia, migraine headaches, infertility, gastric disorders, allergy relief, addiction, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, menstrual irregularities, asthma and so much more.
